Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how It's Official Notary, LLC (“we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on itsofficialnotarys.com and our client and notary portals. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
We currently use only the essential cookies needed to keep you securely signed in and to run the platform. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or any cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share your information for targeted advertising.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Cookies can keep you signed in between page loads, remember security state, and help a site function. “Similar technologies” include things like localStorage — small bits of data your browser holds for a site.
2. We use essential cookies only
We use first-party cookies that are necessary to operate our client, notary, and operations portals. These cookies keep authorized users signed in, protect account access, support secure forms, and manage session security.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party marketing pixels.
Client and notary portal sessions may remain active for up to 30 days unless you sign out or clear your browser cookies. Internal operations sessions are subject to additional access controls.
3. What we do NOT use
- No advertising or marketing cookies
- No third-party web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) or behavioral tracking pixels
- No cross-site or cross-context tracking of your activity on other websites
- No selling or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising
Because we don't use non-essential cookies, there is no advertising or analytics consent to manage — there's simply nothing of that kind running.
4. Service providers we rely on
Running the platform involves trusted processors who act on our instructions under confidentiality and security commitments. These power the service itself (not advertising): website hosting and file storage (Vercel), database (Neon), transactional email (Resend), SMS notifications (Twilio), address geocoding for on-site check-in (Google Maps Platform), electronic-signature and remote online notarization platforms (e.g. Dropbox Sign), AI-assisted document intake and quality review (Anthropic), and background-check vendors for notary onboarding. See our Privacy Policy for how information is shared and secured.
5. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC) — which we honor for any sale/share or targeted-advertising activity (we do none). Please note that because our cookies are essential, blocking them will prevent you from signing in to the client, notary, or operations portals.
6. Other technologies
We keep minimal server-side request logs (e.g. IP address and timestamp) for security, fraud prevention, and reliability. These are not cookies and are covered by our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be noted on this page.
