SMS / Messaging Policy
It's Official Notary, LLC (“we,” “us”) sends transactional and account-notification SMS text messages from +1 (512) 737‑6513 to coordinate notary signing appointments and assignments. Messaging is opt‑in only: we text you only after you affirmatively consent through one of the paths described below. This page is our public opt‑in and messaging disclosure.
1. Who receives messages, and the opt-in path
We collect SMS consent on three separate paths. Each shows the full disclosure (use case, frequency, rates, STOP/HELP, and our no‑third‑party‑sharing commitment) at the point the phone number is entered. Consent is never pre‑checked and is never required to use our service.
- Title companies, law firms, lenders & signers (order intake). When a client submits a signing order at /for-title-companies#intake or /quick, the submitter ticks an optional SMS‑consent checkbox confirming the signer and their team agree to receive texts about that signing. Messages are transactional: appointment confirmation, a “meet your notary” intro, scheduling changes, and signing status updates.
- Notary applicants (application form). When someone applies to join our notary network at /apply, the phone field carries an optional SMS‑consent checkbox covering signing offers, assignments, and job updates.
- Contracted notaries (portal settings). After a notary is onboarded, they manage their own SMS preferences in the notary portal under Settings → Notifications (/n/login). There they toggle, opt‑in and unchecked by default: “Offer SMS” (text me when a signing offer goes out) and “Pre‑signing reminder SMS” (text me 24h and 2h before an accepted signing). These toggles control whether we text the notary; turning them off stops those texts.
2. Example messages
- “It's Official Notary: New signing offer in 78704 on Thu 6/19 at 2:00pm. Reply or open your portal to accept. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- “It's Official Notary: Reminder — your signing with the Smith refi is tomorrow at 10:00am, 123 Oak St. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- “It's Official Notary: Your notary, Jordan, is confirmed for your 3:00pm signing today and will arrive on time. Questions? Reply here. Reply STOP to opt out.”
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on signing activity — for example, the number of offers sent to a notary or status updates on an order. We do not send recurring marketing or promotional text campaigns.
4. Cost
We do not charge for messages. Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
5. How to opt out (STOP) and get help (HELP)
Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe; you will receive one confirmation and we will send no further texts to that number. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at dispatch@itsofficialnotary.com or 512‑737‑6513. Contracted notaries can also turn off SMS toggles in their portal at any time.
6. Privacy
We will not share your mobile information or SMS opt‑in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
